KATIE ORR | ACTRESS

KATIE CHRONICLES
THE
Leader of the Pack
Mickey
"I Want [It] So Baaaaaad"
There was one role I coveted. All I wanted was to utter those sweet, sweet words. She was quirky, cooky, cute,--everything I aspire to be. Little did I know, a mere 4 weeks later, opening night, I would be saying those 8 simple words:
"Elvis was drafted! I'm going to kill myself!"

MARIAN, or the
TRUE TALE OF ROBIN HOOD
Alanna Dale/Alan A Dale
"This is my Robin Hood Face"
Alanna was a girl who struggled with embracing who she was--she literally put on faces to please those around her. Only through this journey of self does she embrace her full potential. People kept saying we were similar, but looking back at the process, the likeness is really too uncanny.

THOROUGHLY
MODERN MILLIE
Rita/Ensemble
Tentative Tapper
After spraining my ankle only three weeks before, I was nervous my "Forget About the Boy Dreams" were ruined . . .
well all I can say is
"Vito Carbone, who?"

GODSPELL
Gilmer
From God Girl to Godspell
The first time I ever performed was singing
"Day By Day" for my church congregation at the ripe age of 4.
Four year-old me never dreamed that I'd get the chance to be a part of my favorite musical. The director was incredible, the designs were phenomenal, and the family we created--priceless.

INTO THE WOODS
Lucinda
"We're Not THAT Miserable"
My mom always says "there are no small parts" (unintentionally making the part sound like something to be upset about).
But I wouldn't have asked for anything more. Being a stepsister was one of my favorite parts I've played. With less stage time, you get the pleasant challenge of making more out of what you're given. (And it helps when you have a comedic genius for a director).

TWELFTH NIGHT
Sebastian
Doppelganger
After the 5th time being mistaken for my future Viola around campus,
I knew it was fate.
It was also fate that I auditioned right after she did... and coordinated outfits.
Total coincidence...
